Future of Gas: Our Vision

How gas can support a low carbon future

Event date: at 10:30

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the presentation of our report on the conclusions and recommendations of our Future of Gas programme, The Future of Gas: Our Vision – How gas can support a low carbon future, to be held on Friday 9 March 2018, 10:30 – 13.00 in central London.

Our vision is developed from extensive research and stakeholder engagement about the evolving energy system, and the future roles of gas and the gas transmission system, in the UK’s transition to a low carbon economy.

Our speakers include National Grid’s Executive Director, UK – Nicola Shaw, Director of System Operation – Fintan Slye and Gas Transmission Owner Director – Pauline Walsh.

Alongside our vision for the future of gas we will be discussing the actions National Grid are going to take and presenting our policy recommendations for government and regulators. Lunch will be provided where there will be further opportunity to network, discuss the detail of The Future of Gas: Our Vision and learn how you can be involved going forward.

The exact location and agenda will be provided nearer the time, and details will be published on futureofgas.uk

We are excited to share our vision for the future of gas with you and very much hope you can join us.

Spaces are limited, so to ensure you don’t miss out please RSVP to robyn.jenkins@nationalgrid.com or call 07500031235.
